Phase Media specializes in producing audio versions of printed material for satellite radio, the internet, audio books and similar endeavors. Whether working from a script or capturing the spontaneity of a live interview, we bring your ideas to fruition.

Creating the Recording: Audio is handled by a staff of five engineers who not only oversee the recording process but also develop the finished product.

Spaces: The studio itself is designed with versatility in mind. A live room that would accommodate a Broadway cast is available when necessary, but for less ambitious projects, a comfortably-sized isolation booth for one to four individuals would probably suffice. A whisper booth for one is also available. At any time, all three of these can be used simultaneously, either for the same recording or three entirely separate projects.

Editing and Organization: Recording is only the first step in the process. Phase Media also has a five room editing suite used to remove any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the audio. Once it meets your standards, the material is prepared for its destination – on air, internet stream, mp3 playback – whatever it may be. We handle its preparation from beginning to end. File management keeps the project organized, and formatting assures that the audio can be used in the medium for which it is intended.

Other Solutions: If you like, we'll provide the voice talent. We use only accomplished speakers, linguists and communicators. Or perhaps an audio book needs to be read by its author – who happens to live in Alaska. We have two ISDN lines specifically for a purpose such as this. These lines allow CD quality recordings to be made remotely, and to facilitate this, we'll arrange for an ISDN connection on the other end, even in Alaska. And if this author is to be interviewed for the Miami-based “Critic's Corner”, we'll connect the two so they'll sound as if they were conducting their conversation in the same room.

If desired, we'll also provide a soundtrack. Musical introductions and segues often help tell a story and can give your project the distinction it deserves.
